Barber earns EcoBroker designation

Judy Barber of  Southern Evergreen Real Estate in Summerfield earned the EcoBroker designation Nov. 7.

Barber completed a training program on the energy and environmental issues that affect real estate transactions. She also earned the Certified Green Professional designation, bestowed by the National Association of Home Builders, this month.

Heather Dodson, Broker/Realtor, has joined All Realty Concepts in Greensboro.

The recently opened company plans to offer traditional listings, a la carte services, MLS-only listings, property management and free buyer representation.

Real estate agent Mojgan Jordan has earned the Graduate Realtor Institute designation, Palmetto Equity Group announced this week.

The designation required Jordan to complete 90 hours of classroom instruction covering contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction. GRI is awarded by state associations to qualified agents who are members of the National Association of Realtors.

Realtor/Broker Shanna Rivers last month joined the Ericka Medlin Realty Group at Keller Williams Realty of Greensboro.

Rivers will be the on-site agent at Hart’s Landing, a new residential community in northeast Greensboro with homes priced from the $120,000s to $160,000s.

Before joining Keller Williams in September 2007, Rivers worked for the federal Department of Homeland Security.

Realtor Stephanie Rothe has joined Allen Tate Realtors’ North Elm Street office, the company announced this week. Rothe, who specializes in new homes sales, is now part of a staff of 38 licensed Realtors in the North Elm office.

A Rockingham County native, Rothe has been in the real estate business for five years. She currently lives in the Summerfield area.

Allen Tate Jr., founder and chairman of the Allen Tate Co., has received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, North Carolina’s highest civilian honor.

The award, created in 1965, was presented to Tate by North Carolina Gov.-Elect Bev Perdue at the Charlotte Chamber’s annual meeting Nov. 6 in Charlotte. Tate was recognized for his service to the state in the areas of planning, regionalism and transportation.

Tate currently serves as chairman of the Charlotte Chamber’s Regional Roads Committee, the Toll Roads Solution Committee and is a member of Charlotte/Mecklenburg County’s Committee of 21 on roads. He has also served as founding member of the Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition and the Shelter Providers Political Action Committee Enterprise; chairman of the Mecklenburg Building Development Commission; chairman and member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission; and as a member of the Governor’s Urban Transportation Task Force.

The Order of the Long Leaf Pine is named for the North Carolina state tree. Recipients are selected for contributions to their communities, effort in their careers and years of service.
